Dr. Utku Uysal is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with subcertifications in epilepsy and neurophysiology. He completed a fellowship at the University of Virginia. He earned his medical degree from Hacettepe University and completed his residency at Dokuz Eylul University. He is an assistant professor of neurology at the University of Kansas Medical Center. His clinical interest is in refractory epilepsy, medical and surgical management of refractory epilepsy and status epilepticus. His primary research interest is in natural history of nonconvulsive status epilepticus, seizure biomarkers and antibiotic-induced seizures/status epilepticus.
