Dr. Abdullah Jahangir is a board-certified pulmonologist and critical care physician with advanced expertise in interventional pulmonology and the management of complex pulmonary and critical illnesses.
Dr. Jahangir specializes in advanced bronchoscopic diagnosis and treatment of complex lung diseases, including endobronchial ultrasound, advanced diagnostic bronchoscopy and minimally invasive procedures for pulmonary and pleural disorders. His practice also encompasses the care of critically ill patients with severe respiratory failure and other complex medical conditions. He is particularly interested in integrating advanced minimally invasive techniques with evidence-based critical care to deliver precise, individualized treatment.
Dr. Jahangir has a long-standing commitment to medical education and has designed and led educational programs in bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound, point-of-care ultrasound, respiratory failure and critical care procedures for physicians and trainees. He brings this academic focus to patient care, combining advanced subspecialty expertise, technical precision and a thoughtful, patient-centered approach. An active clinician-scientist and medical educator, Dr. Jahangir has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and presented his research at national scientific meetings, with scholarly interests spanning pulmonary disease, critical care, bronchoscopy, lung cancer diagnostics, sepsis, and procedural medicine. His recent academic work includes research on mediastinal lymph node cryobiopsy and advanced techniques in interventional pulmonology.
He completed his fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, where he served as chief fellow, followed by subspecialty training in interventional pulmonology through the Harvard Combined BIDMC-MGH Interventional Pulmonology Program.
