Alan R Reeves, MD

Dr. Alan Reeves is certified by the American Board of Diagnostic Radiology with a subcertification in neuroradiology. He completed a fellowship at Yale School of Medicine. He earned his degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency at Indiana University Health Medical Center.

His practice focuses primarily on conditions of the brain, head, neck and spine. He is also involved in treating complex intracranial aneurysms using flow-diversion technology. This is now a common procedure at The University of Kansas Health System. His extensive experience with several neurologically advanced devices and procedures allows him to educate other physicians on how to use them within their practices. Additionally, Dr. Reeves is one of a few physicians in the nation to offer RFA (radiofrequency ablation) of thyroid nodules. Thyroid RFA is an image-guided therapy to treat thyroid nodules as an alternative to traditional surgery. His practice is equipped to manage the initial encounter, ultrasound-guided biopsy and RFA of thyroid nodules if indicated.

Dr. Reeves is an active senior member of the Society of Neurointerventional Surgery. When he's not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 children, watching baseball, boating, spending time with friends and being outside.
