Caitlin R Linscheid, MD, PhD

Dr. Caitlin R. Linscheid is a practicing obstetrician and gynecologist at The University of Kansas Health System. She sees patients with normal or complicated pregnancies, early pregnancy loss, abnormal vaginal bleeding, common gynecologic concerns and postmenopausal bleeding.

Dr. Linscheid is passionate about providing evidence-based, compassionate care to her patients. Her areas of interest include the impact of early life stress on pregnancy outcomes as well as the importance of trauma-informed care in obstetrics and gynecology. She specializes in providing care for patients who have experienced trauma in the past and are looking for a patient, compassionate physician.

Her areas of research have included the role of the immune system during pregnancy, the development and manifestation of pre-eclampsia and the best approaches for teaching patient-centered care to medical students.

She lived all over the United States as a child, but she and her family ultimately settled in Lawrence, Kansas, where she completed high school. She attended Bethel College (North Newton, Kansas) and then moved to Kansas City where she completed her MD, PhD and residency in obstetrics and gynecology.
