Carol J Fabian, MD

Dr. Carol Fabian is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with a subcertification in medical oncology. She completed a fellowship at the University of Kansas Medical Center. She earned her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed her residency at Wesley Medical Center. Dr. Fabian's current practice is limited to breast cancer risk assessment, genetic testing and breast cancer prevention, as well as treatment of non-invasive breast cancer. She is heavily involved in clinical and translational research in breast cancer prevention and survivorship and has received peer reviewed research funding from the National Cancer Institute, Komen for the Cure and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Her prevention focus for high-risk women who have not developed breast cancer is on healthy behaviors and other interventions which do not induce or worsen menopausal symptoms. She is committed to a patient-focused and multidisciplinary approach to treatment planning based on patient-specific biology, latest research developments and patient wishes.
