About Donald A Neff

Donald Neff, MD, FACS, is an assistant professor of urology at the University of Kansas Medical Center. A native of Wisconsin, he entered healthcare as a firefighter/paramedic in Janesville, Wisconsin. During this time, he developed his passion for medicine, and earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater. He then went on to complete medical school and a urology residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin. While a medical student there, he earned several awards, including the William Booker Memorial Award in pharmacology, the Hiram Benjamin Award for proficiency in anatomy, the Frankow Award for outstanding academic achievement and the Millman Award. As a resident, he also received the Medical College of Wisconsin Award for house staff excellence in teaching. Dr. Neff has authored several abstracts and peer-reviewed papers. Prior to joining our health system, he was in private practice in Janesville and Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.

His treatment interests include kidney stones, benign prostate disease, laser surgery of the prostate, urological trauma, erectile dysfunction, urinary incontinence, overactive bladder and sacral neuromodulation (InterStim). He has a special interest in international outreach and service.

Dr. Neff is a member of American Urological Association and American College of Surgeons.
