Dr. Emily Broxterman offers comprehensive pediatric ophthalmology within the health system’s region-leading comprehensive eye center. She offers expertise for both congenital and acquired conditions for children under age 21. These include pediatric strabismus (misalignment of the eyes), amblyopia (also called lazy eye), nasolacrimal duct obstructions (blocked tear duct), anterior segment disorders (those affecting the front of the eye) and more.
A Kansas native, Dr. Broxterman attended the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, for her bachelor’s degree before returning to Kansas for her MD. She then completed her internship, residency and fellowship all in the Kansas City area.
Dr. Broxterman is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
