Emily S Mathiesen, MD

Dr. Emily Mathiesen is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Mathiesen followed in her father’s footsteps in becoming a physician. Like her father, a family medicine physician who practices obstetrics, she wanted a meaningful and impactful career. She loves delivering babies and helping women with their routine healthcare. She also performs minimally invasive surgeries. “In addition to the obvious part of my practice delivering babies and being involved with births that I enjoy so much, is developing relationships with my patients,” she says. “I take care of women who have concerns, may need surgery or come in for routine care, and I get something back from helping these women and it’s really one of the best parts of my practice.”

Dr. Mathiesen earned her medical degree at the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
