About Hannah L Kavookjian

Hannah Kavookjian, MD, is a laryngologist and an otolaryngologist specialized in the surgical treatment of airway, voice and swallowing disorders. Her clinical interests include airway and voice disorders, including the treatment of patients with scar tissue blocking the airway (laryngotracheal stenosis and subglottic stenosis), gender-affirming voice care, benign vocal cord lesions (laryngeal papillomatosis, cysts, nodules, polyps), vocal cord paralysis, laryngeal cancer and pre-cancerous lesions of the vocal cords. Dr. Kavookjian (kuh-VOOK-jun) works in a multidisciplinary team including nurses and speech pathologists to provide the best care possible to her patients. She is experienced in office-based procedures, such as stroboscopy, vocal cord injection, laser treatments and transnasal esophagoscopy.

Dr. Kavookjian is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. She completed her fellowship in laryngology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. She earned her medical degree from the University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine and completed her surgical residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
