Dr. Jacob Brubacher is a hand, upper extremity and microvascular surgeon. He earned his medical degree from Yale University and completed his residency at Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Residency Program. He completed a fellowship in hand, upper extremity and microvascular surgery at Duke University Medical Center. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is certified for additional qualifications in hand surgery.
Dr. Brubacher has an interest in the care of the entire arm, including for sports injuries and trauma. He is an assistant team physician for the Kansas City Royals. Dr. Brubacher also specializes in peripheral nerve surgery, which includes procedures for routine and complex nerve compression conditions, such as carpal and cubital tunnel syndrome. Function may also be restored by more complex procedures such as nerve repair and nerve transfers. As part of The University of Kansas Health System, a major referral center for the state of Kansas and surrounding region, Dr. Brubacher also treats patients with complex traumatic and posttraumatic hand and upper extremity injuries.
Originally from Newton, Kansas, Dr. Brubacher’s patient care philosophy centers on providing the best care to each individual patient, and he enjoys restoring their quality of life.
