Jessica N Gillespie, MD

Dr. Jessica Gillespie is a dual board-certified physician in internal medicine and pediatrics and is dedicated to providing evidence-based, whole-person care. She values getting to know her patients, listening to their stories, sharing moments of humor and sadness, and supporting them throughout their medical journeys. Her approach focuses on partnering with patients so they feel empowered, informed and confident in managing their health.

With training across both adult and pediatric medicine, Dr. Gillespie has a special interest in guiding children with complex medical conditions – such as cystic fibrosis, type 1 diabetes, congenital heart disease and genetic disorders – through the transition to adult care.

She is also passionate about early childhood literacy. During her residency at the University of Cincinnati, she launched a Reach Out and Read program and has remained active with the Kansas City chapter. Her clinic participates in TAP-TAM (Turn a Page, Touch a Mind), ensuring that every child receives a book at well-child visits from birth through age 5.

Outside of work, Dr. Gillespie stays busy with her 3 children and her coaching commitments. She also enjoys relaxing at the lake on weekends, where they enjoy spending family time.
