Dr. Jessica Pries is a board-certified and fellowship trained general surgeon at Great Bend Campus. Dr. Pries grew up in central Kansas and she is glad to be back in the area and serving patients here.
“It is a real privilege to serve patients in the area where I grew up,” she says. “I enjoy offering patients a solution to their problem so they can get back to their daily life as quickly as possible.”
Dr. Pries has advanced training in minimally invasive surgery techniques. She offers laparoscopic gallbladder removal, appendectomy, hernia repair (inguinal, umbilical, ventral, incisional and hiatal), anti-reflux surgeries such as fundoplication, resections of the stomach, small bowel, and colon for benign and malignant disease, upper and lower endoscopy, soft-tissue procedures such as excision of cysts, lipomas and skin lesions, as well as placement of long-term vascular access ports.
Dr. Pries earned her medical degree from the University of Kansas Medical Center Wichita. She completed general surgery residency at the Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans and obtained additional bariatric and minimally invasive fellowship training at the University of Missouri.
When not working, she enjoys travel, hiking and reading. She lives in the area with her husband and their pets.
