Konstantine Halkidis, MD

Dr. Konstantine Halkidis is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with subcertifications in hematology and oncology. He sees patients with thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura and other nonmalignant hematologic conditions in his clinic. His basic philosophy is to listen and pay attention, not only as a clinician but also in all other aspects of life.

Dr. Halkidis is a physician-scientist with a particular interest in thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura. He has received funding from the National Institutes of Health and other national organizations to help fund his research.

He completed a hematology/oncology fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He earned his medical degree and a PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. He completed his internal medicine residency at Drexel University College of Medicine.
