Dr. Ravi K. Yarlagadda is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with subcertifications in cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology. He works with patients who have a heart rhythm disorder called atrial fibrillation, or A-fib He helps restore normal heart rhythm function to his patients and enjoys using the latest technology to get the best results. “I tell my patients there are multiple treatments we can offer, but let’s decide what works best for them. Patients with afib need to be on a blood thinner to protect them from blood clots and strokes. Not all patients can be on blood thinners, so we use a new medical device called a left atrial appendage closure. We implant it into a patient and it eliminates the need for blood thinners. It has been truly a life-changing procedure for most of my patients,” he says.

Dr. Yarlagadda completed a fellowship in electrophysiology at Cornell University, a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at the University of Connecticut Health Center and a fellowship in critical care medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center-New York. He earned his medical degree from Guntur Medical College and completed residency at McLaren Regional Med Center.
