Saurav Luthra, MD

Dr. Saurav Luthra is a sleep medicine physician who specializes in diagnosing and treating a wide range of sleep disorders, including snoring, obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), central sleep apnea (CSA), daytime fatigue, insomnia, hypersomnia (excessive sleepiness), narcolepsy, restless leg syndrome (RLS), circadian rhythm disorders, sleep hypoventilation, obesity hypoventilation syndrome (OHS), parasomnias (abnormal sleep behaviors), REM behavior disorder (dream enactments), nightmare disorder, sleepwalking, nocturnal enuresis and more.

Dr. Luthra's current research interests include HGNS devices, sleep health technology, and sleep and obesity. Using a patient-centered approach, he believes that healthy sleep is essential for longevity and overall well-being. He is dedicated to improving sleep health and overall quality of life for his patients by offering comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and personalized treatment plans.

For patients with CPAP intolerance, Dr. Luthra offers alternative treatment options, including guidance on oral appliances when appropriate and hypoglossal nerve stimulation (HGNS) device treatments such as Inspire. For patients with uncontrolled central sleep apnea, he provides REMEDE device implants. He also specializes in managing refractory RLS patients and sleep devices needed for breathing support at night.

He is an American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM)-certified physician practicing sleep medicine. He completed an extensive fellowship in sleep medicine at Harvard Medical School, training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Massachusetts General Hospital and Boston Children's Hospital.

Dr. Luthra earned his medical degree from King George's Medical University and completed his residency at Rochester Regional Health. He is a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) and has served as an academic internal medicine physician at Harvard Medical School and currently holds the position of assistant professor at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He is also a sleep medicine faculty member at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
